The gardens of Annevoie were devised and were arranged between 1758 and 1776 by Charles-Alexis the Montpellier and are still an important historical witness. In the first place however the gardens are a living art work. In the 17° centuries the pleasure gardens of Annevoie were devised entirely to French style. Later, in the 18° centuries Italian and English style elements came. By the marriage with these three cultures the gardens were later baptised "European gardens" . More than twenty wells and ponds fed by about fifty water jets, fountains and water falls are part of these unique water gardens.
