	Het dorpsgezicht van Vurste wordt beheerst door het oude, uitgestrekte kasteeldomein Borgwal, ooit eigendom van de adellijke familie Goethals. De Gentse bisschop Triest had er in de 17^e eeuw een buitenverblijf. Nu biedt het een tehuis voor mentaal andersvalide volwassenen en is in handen van de Broeders van Liefde.Op aanvraag is het omsloten domein te bezoeken.De schitterend gerestaureerde duiventoren alleen al is die moeite meer dan waard.
