The bldg. dates of beginning 17th century and has a splendid, impressive tower. The castle was possessed successively by the families Chaisnes, Cassal and Favereau.De castle farm (1620), under the ancient regime the seat of a country lusciousness, fief of Durbuy, an impressive quadrangle construction in brick (in former days plastered) and blue nature stone on a plinth of lime hardcore. One reaches the castle along a fancy gateway house in baroque, reinforced with two corner-towers. Remarkably is especially the Court tower, set up on a hillock top just opposite the church. These tower at the castle was joined in the 16° centuries. In one of its point gables a door which gives entrance to a balcony, has been made where the clerk of the feudal court pronounced the sentences. The farm is run still but is in private property. You cannot visit them therefore.The Bldg. is since 1963 on the monument list.
