Splendid water citadel lain in a vast park of 9 ha. The oldest part of this pearl in the architectural patrimony of Beveren dates from the beginning of the 15° centuries. The rebuilding has been very many. The castle was inhabited up to 1960, successively by the families Triest, Goubau and van Brouchoven-de Bergeyck. In 1966, it was bought by the municipality Beveren and in 1971, it was protected as a monument. The castle was restored and determines now part of the culture center Ter Vesten.In the extended park stands an 18° centuries coach house with orangery (now tavern restaurant), ice cellar and a cast-iron suspension bridge from 1905.As an individual visitor you are for free led round here first and third Sunday of the month, from May to September .
