The castle Dons the Lovendeghem likely already existed on the end of the 14° century. The village was witness of quite a lot of feat of arms, that took place near the castle,for instance,the occupation by the Gentians in 1383, during an rebellion against Lodewijk Of Male. Likely the castle was in the early 17° century only a tower with a small brick housing. In 1641 the building was increased considerable. Around 1835, Auguste Dons-Stalin was the owner. Via baron Louis Eugene Dons the Lovendeghem, who let the castle restore in 1880-1885 by architect Van Kerckhove. Adress: Lovendegem
