The late-medieval castle with seventeenth centuries rebuildings lies in a beautiful forested surroundings with water mill. The manor Leven-Dale, already mentioned in the 12th century, came successively in the possession of the de Mérodes and the Van Brouchhovens.Since 1975 it is owned by the de Liedekerkes. But of the oldest stone bldg. only a couple parts has remained. A cellar from the middle of the thirteenth century, the below part of the large tower and some foundations. Because of these rests you can suspect that the old strengthening existed especially from a high living-tower or donjon on a hillock. The construction work had probably five levels. From low to high were there: stock cellar, access and kitchen, stay of the lord, sleep departure of the lord and entirely on top, a deepening from which the whole could be entirely defended.
