Dit kasteel werd in 1915 gebouwd in neorenaissancestijl. Het werd opgetrokken met materialen van andere oude gebouwen. Zowel voor de buitenarchitectuur als voor de binnenhuisinrichting werd de Vlaamse renaissancestijl tot in de kleinste details toegepast. Het kasteel werd door Baron de Trannoy opgericht en het ging door erfenis naar Graaf de Meeus d'Argenteuil. Dit kasteel is niet toegankelijk voor het publiek.De eerste bewoners waren een baron en een barones, hun naam De Trannoy , (vandaar het Trannoyplein dat nog steeds bestaat)
Wat het kasteel zelf betreft, dit is gebouwd met afbraak van de paardenstallen van wijlen Koning Leopold.Destijds reed er nog een tram door Tongerlo, en al de afbraakmaterialen werden met deze tram vervoerd vanuit Brussel naar Tongerlo

This castle became in 1915, built in neorenaissance style. It was built with material of other old bldg.. Both for the outside architecture and for the interior, the Flemish Renaissance style was applied to in the smallest details . The castle was set up by baron the Trannoy and it became by inheritance,the property of earl the Meeus d'Argenteuil. This castle is not accessible for the public. The first occupants were a baron and a baroness, their name the Trannoy, (hence the Trannoyplein that still exists) What the castle itself concerns, it has been built with demolition materials of the horse stables of late king Léopold.In those days a tram still drove through  Tongerlo, and the second hand materials were transported with this tram from Brussels to Tongerlo
