in 1960, in the village a mill committee was established that did the first reparations to the mill and so ensured that the bldg. in 1964, was protected as a monument. In 1970-73 the new owner (Mr Frank De Craeke - the Reyghere, who bought the mill in 1969) let the mill entirely restore. In 1992, the mill was made capable to grind, whereat a new mill axle were placed. In 2004, new maintenance work was carried out and also the former flour-milling bldg. beside the mill was renovated.
