Een Neo-Maaslands renaissance kasteel, gebouwd in 1889-1891 door architect Vanholder, eigendom en bewoond door de familie Armand de Moffarts. Verving het oude kasteel afgebroken in 1992.
Het gebouw is opgetrokken uit baksteen met verwerking van kalksteen.
Het is 2 bouwlagen hoog met een zadeldak,dakkapellen en een hoektoren.
Het Kasteel ligt in het park Gasterbos, te bereiken langs de Steenweg, maar zoveel mooier is de toegang langs de Gasterbosstraat, een enig en hobbelig kasseiwegje

A Neo-Maasland Renaissance castle, built in 1889-1891 by architect Vanholder, property and inhabited by the family Armand de Moffarts. Replaced the old castle demolished in 1992.
The bldg. has been accelerated from brick with processing of limestone.
It is 2 construction layers high with a saddle roof, dormer windows and an corner tower.
The castle lies in the park Gasterbos, reachable along the Steenweg, but so much more beautiful access is along the Gasterbosstraat, a wonderful and rough cobbled road.
