The "water mill" belonged in the 13° centuries to the lords of Grobbendonk and to the abbey of Sint-Bernard-on-the-Schelde, which had this region of the dukes of brabant in feudatory. This water mill grinds with the strength of water. The mill stands on the actual "nete" (the branching arm and the large well have been dug). In 1268 he burned down. In 1597 he was again total devastated and in 1919, he was infested seriously by fire once more . In 1921, he was entirely renewed and was later classified as monument . The fact that he grinds still with the strength of water, forms a unicum.
