It is very plausible that Haus Raeren were the head seat of the original lusciousness. At the beginning of the 15° centuries it was in possession of Carsilius van der Roetschen. His daughter married with Emeric de Bastogne (Bastenach), whose family was very influential in the place with the same name. Haus Raeren have come in their possession in 1443. Then obtained their son, Emeric deBastogne, the possession. These married with Jeanne the Hollerich. They were it (or their predecessors) turned those ‘wasserburg’ into what it is now.
