Het kasteel van de Hertogen van Brabant (12de eeuw). In de loop van de geschiedenis werd het kasteel herhaaldelijk verbouwd. Na tijden van voor- en tegenspoed raakte het kasteel in de 18de en 19de eeuw zodanig in verval dat het onder meer als stadsmagazijn werd gebruikt. De provincie kocht het gebouw rond het begin van de 20ste eeuw van de gemeente en ging na de oorlog van '14-'18 tot een grondige restauratie over. Nu is het gerechtshof er gehuisvest. Turnhout |

The castle of the dukes of Brabant (12° centuries). In the course of the history the castle was rebuilt repeatedly. After times of ups and downs the castle in 18° and the 19° centuries touched as such decaying that it was among others used as town store. The province bought the bldg. around the beginning of the 20th century of the municipality and proceeded after the war of ‘14-‘18 to a thorough restoration. Now the Court of Justice has been housed there. |
