The history of the Hof Ter Laeken returns up to 1200, when on this spot stood a military water citadel . The current, residential complex came about in the 18° centuries by the family della Faille. In the library is notable,the ceiling painted with the chronological consecution of owners and their blazons. In 20 ha large castle park grow a number of secular giant oaks. The field is not accessible for individual visitors. If you walk along the Netedijk to the Yzerenweg, you can see after about a 100 meters the splendid castle. In group you can visit the castle, however, after appointment by means of the service tourism.
