De geschiedenis van het Hof Ter Laken gaat terug tot 1200, toen op deze plek een militaire waterburcht stond. Het huidige, residentiële complex kwam in de 18de eeuw tot stand door de familie della Faille. In de bibliotheek valt het beschilderde plafond op met de chronologische opeenvolging van eigenaars en hun blazoenen. In het 20 ha grote kasteelpark groeien een aantal eeuwenoude reusachtige eiken. Het domein is niet toegankelijk voor individuele bezoekers. Als je de Netedijk opwandelt aan de Yzerenweg, kan je na een 100tal meter stappen een blik werpen op het prachtige kasteel.
In groep kan je het kasteel wel bezoeken, na afspraak via de dienst Toerisme.

The history of the Hof Ter Laeken returns up to 1200, when on this spot stood a military water citadel . The current, residential complex came about in the 18° centuries by the family della Faille. In the library is notable,the ceiling painted with the chronological consecution of owners and their blazons. In 20 ha large castle park grow a number of secular giant oaks. The field is not accessible for individual visitors. If you walk along the Netedijk to the Yzerenweg, you can see after about a 100 meters the splendid castle.
In group you can visit the castle, however, after appointment by means of the service tourism.
