De stenen korenmolen werd gebouwd in 1837 nadat de vorige molen (bouwjaar 1499) in een orkaan in 1836 verwoest werd. De molen werd beschermd als monument en ligt binnen een beschermd dorpsgezicht. Ondanks deze beschermingsmaatregelen kon niet verhinderd worden dat woonhuizen in de omgeving opgetrokken werden wat heden voor een ernstige windbelemmering zorgt.

The bricks grain-mill were built in 1837, after the previous mill (construction year 1499) in a hurricane in 1836, was devastated. The mill was protected as a monument and lies within a protected rural sight. In spite of these protection measures could not be prevented that houses in the surroundings were built what ensures present a serious wind obstruction.
