Kasteel De Hoof, was eertijds het kasteel van de heren van Teuven. Op dit ogenblik is het eigendom van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap, die het in 1985 verwierf. Het heeft nu als hotel-restaurant een plaats gekregen in de toeristische infrastructuur van de streek. De naam van dat restaurant, De Draeck, verwijst naar een Antwerpse familie die er van de 16de tot de 18de eeuw eigenaar van was. Castle the Hoof, were in the past the castle of the lords of Teuven. On this moment it is the property of the Flemish community, which acquired it in 1985. It has now got a place as a hotel restaurant in the tourist infrastructure of the region. The name of that restaurant, The Draeck, refers to an Antwerp family which were the owner of 16° up to the 18° centuries. A sepulchre stone with their weapon (and that of a number of other families from their ancestry) was placed to the foot of the corner tower. |
