	Oorspronkelijk woonde op dit domein de rentmeester van de Sint Baafsabdij van Gent. Einde 16°/ begin 17° eeuw stonden er een bescheiden hof van plaisantie, evenals een hoeve in traditionele stijl. Momenteel eigendom van de Gasthuiszusters van Lier en deels in gebruik als zustersverblijf, deels voor de paramedische sector. Het huidige kasteeltje dateert van het einde van de 19°, eeuw. Oorspronkelijk was dit een eenvoudig rechthoekig gebouw; de vleugels en de kapel werden later aangebouwd (enigzins herkenbaar aan de niveauverschillen in het dak en aan de verschillende torens. Het domein kan betreden worden, mits op de voor circulatie bestemde wegen te blijven. Eclectisch gebouw, met o.a. classicistische barokinvloeden, zoals b.v.:klassieke dakvenster + zware architraaf + vierkante middenste toren met tentspits.Let ook op het linker deel met balkon, afgeboord met ballustrade in bepleisterd en geschilderd beton, voorzien van vazen (ramskoppen aan de oren).Uiterst links (NO-hoek): vierkante toren + peerspits (leien) en grote bepleisterde cartouche. 	Initially the steward of the Saint Baafs abbey of Ghent lived on this field. End 16°/beginning 17° century stood there a modest court of pleasance, as well as a farmhouse in traditional style. At present property of the Gasthuis sisters of Lier and partly in use as a sister stay, partly for the paramedical sector. The current small castle dates of the end of the 19° century. Initially it was a simply rectangular bldg.; the wings and the chapel were later built on (recognizable to the level differences in the roof and to the different towers). Eclectic bldg., with among other things classicistic baroque influences, like e.g.: traditional attic window + heavy architrave + square middle tower with tent pip. Also pay attention to the left part with balcony, bordered with railing in plastered and painted concrete, provide with vases (rams heads to the ears). Extremely left (NO-corner): square tower + pear pip (slates) and large plastered cartouche. Entrance with Maria statue.
