Het kasteel van Steinbach werd opgericht in de 17de eeuw. Het werd in 1766 (Lodewijk XV) verbouwd naar zijn huidige vorm. De windhanen op de twee torens geven dit aan. Ze dragen eveneens het zegel en de initialen van de bouwheren van dit monument. Het kasteel is opgebouwd uit schistzandsteen en bakstenen. Het heeft twee vleugels die worden gebruikt als boerderij.Het kasteel is zichtbaar van op de weg die naar Steinbach voert. U heeft er ook een prachtig zicht over de aangelegde tuinen.Het kasteel was aanvankelijk in het bezit van de Spaanse koning Filips IV. Het werd dan aangekocht door Martin van Stimbai in 1626. Vervolgens ging het over in handen van de familie de Beurthé. De heren van Aspelt ruilden hun eigendom tegen de heerlijkheid van Steinbach, Limerlé en Rouvroy. De gerechtelijke macht bleef in hun handen tot aan de Franse revolutie.

Het kasteel is niet toegankelijk voor het publiek.

The castle of Steinbach was built in the 17° centuries. It became, rebuilt towards its current form in 1766 (Lodewijk XV). The wind vanes on the two towers indicate this. They also carry the seal and the initials of the construction lords of this monument. The castle has been built from schist sand stone and bricks. It has two wings which are used as a farm. The castle is visible from the way which leads to Steinbach.There is also a splendid visibility on the moored gardens. The castle was initial in the possession of the Spanish king Filips IV. It was then bought by Martin van Stimbai in 1626. Then proceeded it in the hands of the family the Beurthé. The lords of Aspelt exchanged their property against the lusciousness of Steinbach, Limerlé and Rouvroy. The judicial power remained in their hands until the French revolution.
The castle is not accessible for public.
