Het Kasteel van Halloy, versterkte plaats tijdens de 12de en 13de eeuw, was toen een van de residenties van de Bisschoppen van Luik. Later, in de 17de en 18de eeuw werd het een buitenverblijf. Het kasteel, met zijn klassieke structuur - een centraal gebouw bedekt met een driehoekig fronton en een prachtig arduinen dak - werd opgericht in mooie kalkstenen. De twee wat minder hoog gebouwde linker- en rechtervleugels, begrenzen de ingangskoer. Dankzij een volledige renovatie, is Het Kasteel van Halloy een gezellige plaats, voorzien van al het nodige moderne comfort en veel ruimte, en dat alles in een prachtige natuurlijke omgeving. The castle of Halloy, reinforced place during the 12° and 13° centuries, were then one of the residences of the bishops of Liege. Later, in the 17° and the 18° centuries it became an outside stay. The castle, with its traditional structure - a central bldg. covered with a triangular pediment and splendid blue stones roof - was set up in beautiful limestone’s. Two less high built left and right wings, limits the courtyard. Thanks to a complete modernization, the castle of Halloy is a sociable place, provided with already necessary modern comfort and much space, and all that in splendid natural surroundings. |
