De ruïnes van het kasteel van Herbeumont, op een rots boven het dorp en de zijrivier van de Semois, horen bij de "uitzonderlijk historische gebieden van Wallonië". Het kasteel, dat door Jehan de Rochefort, zoon van het Huis van Walcourt, in 1268 werd gebouwd, werd in de loop der eeuwen bewoond door andere families: Marck Rochefort, het Huis van Stolberg en het Huis van Lowenstein. The ruin of the castle of Herbeumont, on a rock above the village and the affluent of the Semois belongs to the exceptionally historical territory of Walloon. The castle, that was in 1268 built by Jehan Rochefort, son of the House of Walcourt, was inhabited in the course of centuries by other families: Marck Rochefort, the House of Stolberg and the House of Lowenstein.
