Het kasteel van Oteppe werd vanaf de 17e eeuw bewoond door de familie de Lochon. Het is hun wapenschild dat het fronton van het hoofdgebouw siert. Het complex van in u-vorm gerangschikte gebouwen dateert van de 17e (toegangspoort) tot de 19e eeuw (delen van het hoofdgebouw en de in kalksteen opgetrokken paardenstallen). Op de binnenkoer verstevigt een 16e-eeuwse, ronde toren de gewezen stallingen. Twee losstaande torens in het park, eveneens uit de 16e eeuw, maakten in het verleden waarschijnlijk deel uit van de omwalling van het kasteel. Binnenin het woongedeelte maken een aantal marmeren schoorsteenmantels, het mooie stucwerk in de kamers en de salon met haar zware lambrisering en de erin verwerkte schilderijen op doek, het meest indruk. |

The castle of Oteppe was inhabited as from the 17th century by the family de Lochon. It is their weapon shield that the pediment of the head bldg. decorates. On the courtyard reinforces a 16° centuries round tower the former stables. Two detached towers in the park, also from the 16th century, were in the past probably part of circumvallation of the castle. Inside the living area makes a number of marble mantelpieces, the beautiful stucco work in the chambers and the salon with its heavy paneling and the paintings on screen, the most impression. |
