Zoals veel belangrijke bouwwerken in dit gebied, was het kasteel oorspronkelijk bezit van de Abbaye van Stavelot, die het als een vooruitgeschoven verdedigingsbolwerk beschouwde. Het was vanaf de 12e eeuw tot aan de 17e eeuw in handen van de Heren van Fisenne. Het centrale deel van het kasteel wordt gevormd door een uit de Middeleeuwen stammend vierkant donjon met 5 verdiepingen. De gebouwen van de boerderij zijn in de 15e eeuw aan het eigenlijke kasteel aangebouwd. Zo stamt het Château-Ferme de Fisenne niet uit een bepaalde tijdsperiode, maar is het resultaat van een opeenvolging van bouw en veranderingen die het de charmante uitstraling geven. De aanblik van het huidige kasteel is gerealiseerd in de jaren 1710-1719 op initiatief van Antoine-Georges van Fisenne (1645-1719) en omvat de binnenhof met op de vleugels bijgebouwen als stallen en schuren, gericht op de Chapelle St. Remi, die in 1713 is gebouwd.

Like many important buildings in this area, the castle was original possession of the Abbaye of Stavelot, that it as a forward defence stronghold viewed. It was from the 12th century to on the 17th century in hands of the Gentlemen of Fisenne. The central part of the castle is formed by a from the Middle Ages originating quadrangle donjon with 5 deepenings. The buildings of the ranch are in the 15th century on it actual castle built-on. So the Château firm the Fisenne does not stem from a specific space of time-, but is the result of a sequence of constructions and changes that it give the charming radiation.The sight of the present castle has been realized in the years 1710-1719 on initiative of Antoine-georges of Fisenne (1645-1719) and embraced the courtyard with on the wings outhouses as stables and barns, focused on the Chapelle St. Remi, that in 1713 was built. ¶
