This brick “groundsailor” was built in 1712, according to in a Balegemse sandstone chiseled year above the Southern entrance door. The mill was equipped as a grain - and oil mill. In 1894, the oil mill was put out of use . Still up to 1955,milling was done with the wind. The mill became dismantled in 1959; there was still only milling with an engine. In 1975, the body, which still its cap had preserved, became, thoroughly rebuild and arranged as a house. In 2005, the walls and the cap were repaired.
