Van het omgrachte Laarhof of 'Het hof van Ravenstein', daterend uit het Spaanse tijdvak, blijven nog enkel de monumentale toegangspoort en het kapelgebouw over. De rest werd in 1951 afgebroken.
Het Laarhof zou sedert 1559 in het bezit zijn van de familie Suys.
Het domein was lange tijd ingericht als ontspanningscentrum van de nabij gelegen elektriciteitscentrale.
