Het kasteel van Les Waleffes is een bouwkundig ensemble dat in een uitzonderlijk coulissenlandschap is gelegen. De architectuur van de kasteelgebouwen, maar ook dekasteelhoeve met 32 meter hoge duiventoren, de boomgaarden, de weilanden en bossen, maken dit oord tot een uitzonderlijke locatie.Het fraaie, huidige verblijf werd vanaf 1706 gebouwd onder leiding van de Franse ingenieur J.Verniole. Het is het type kasteel dat men in het Maasland ziet : een woongedeelte met op beide uiteinden twee symmetrische zijvleugels. De decoratie is nog geïnspireerd naar de 17de eeuw.De invloed van de Franse ornamentist Daniel Marot is in de decors te zien. |

The castle of Les Waleffes is an architectural ensemble that in an exceptional slide landscape has been lain. The architecture of the castle bldg., but also the castle-farm with a 32 meters high pigeontower, the orchards, the pastures and woods, turns this harbour into an exceptional location.The beautiful current stay became from 1706 built under the guidance of the French engineer J.Verniole. It is the type of castle that one in the Meuse country sees: a living-part with on both ends two symmetrical side wings.
