Initially the bricks mill, had been supposedly built in 1790, (other sources speak of 1799?) an ordinary grain-mill where the mill cap was turned from the flat ground. The mill cap was himself then on the level of the current “ muizentandfries”. After a fire in 1863 decides the miller to raise the mill. The conical mill body mortar the usual way was not possible since the top would be then too small for the cap. Thus one made the dia meter larger by letting stand out at the laying of 1st layer of bricks to the other stone: " the muizentandfries ". By accelerating the mill body could one however no longer operate the cap from the ground and had one to raise a mill mount. Thus the mill got its current view: round bricks mount grain-mill standing on a mount with a brick access gateway which gave the farmers the possibility to drive under the mill
