This mill dates back to 1640 and was property of the Chapter of Hoxem. In 1824, beside the grain mill also a “volmolen” were installed (Vollen is a final processing of woven wool cloths as a result of which quality strongly improved.). Supposedly after W.O. I the wooden overshot water wheel was replaced by a turbine. The mill-activity was stopped at the demise of the last miller in 1981.
