. According to Georges and Jean-Jacques Sarton, a document gone back to 1406 precise that the lord of Jauche had rented his mill this year with a certain Monar Waistcoat. From 1409 to 1426, the mill is exploited by Jean de Maljeroulle and of 1427 to 1429 by Philote Penateal. In 1824, Charles Aimé Emmanuel, Count Van der Meer de Cruyshauten, last Lord of Jauche, sold it to the widow of Louis Deselle. Two years later, the Deselle girl and her husband Albert Paheau will become, by donation, owner of the mill which will remain in the Paheau family until April 2nd, 1965, date on which it was acquired by Eugene Van de Sijpe. It is today the property of David Hottois. About 1925, the paddle wheel was replaced by a turbine. The mill is not, nowadays, more in activity. It presents beside reserve water a building with face of street. This massive painted brick construction and hones of Gobertange dates from the XVIIIe century and rests on old foundations.
