The mill has existed since more than 400 years. Tandel mention that certain Bertemin,miller at Jupille, got the mill of Cawedevache in 1548, of the Hubertus abbey. Lodewijk, his son, succeeded him, and died in 1600. In the course of the XVII° century the mill was rebuilt after he had gone up in the flames. At this occasion, according to the legend, a walnut tree which there still stands , was planted (Li gros gaïe). The last rebuilding dates of the XIX° century and give to the mill its current view.
