Lain at the bottom of the valley of the Aisne, below the way which links the bridge of Erezée, with Eveux and Fanzel, the mill has perpetuated centuries of traditions. His existence is already shown by the book Terrien of 1314. That is therefore more than 600 years which the farmers of the place and the surroundings introduced precious food. In 1880, Desiré Hanus counted almost 300 mills, and before the last war, were still more than 80 mills in functioning in our province. Nowadays there are hardly still 5 in functioning. One of the characteristics of the mill, is the remarkable length of the water gutter. These starts near the bridge of Erezée to lead the water of the Aisne to the wheel of 4 meters diameter. A wheel which contains 48 waterbakjes. The primitive wooden wheel, was in 1938,being replaced by iron wheel to operate the impressive mechanisms. The first miller of whom one has knowledge was Jehan van Biron: were it is he that the place in 1384 inhabited. In 1921, became the family Hesbois owner of the mill. The establishment of the mill is related to the lords of Durbuy. It is in 1796, that the duke of Ursel from Durbuy will have sold the mill. At present the mill was changed in a museum, and is it the place of several cultural events.
