Already in 1330 in a register report a ’Nedermolen’ on the Bosbrook is mentioned . Until the French revolution the inhabitants of Neeroeteren were obliged to let their grain grind here . In 1769, this mill was totally worn out. The municipality took him over in long lease of the bishop of Liege and let him further, but could already quick, after he no longer did service as a ban mill, pay off its annual interests. The mill was demolished. In 1859, he became however rebuilt. In 1913, he was equipped with a turbine of the Girard-type.In 1957,the mill became increased and has been since its restoration in 1996, capable to grind again.
