The neoclassicistic castle stands at the place of the former benedictinesses-abbey of Nonnemielen. This abbey stood original at the town ramparts of Sint-Truiden but was in 1231 moved to this place. In the 18°centuries the abbey formed an elongated complex of which now only the farm with port buildings remains. The castle dates back to approx. 1850 and exists from a lord house and a 18° centuries entrance building.
