This mill was original property of the lords of Lalaing. He was kept in 1571 in tenant farming by Pieter the Bock. The estate lay partial on Mater. In 1767, for 27 years, the whole was leased to David De Vos, by the lords of Schorisse. The mill and the company were sold in 1824, to the family Eeckhout, which is still the owner of it. The mill was adapted in 1893. In 1913, a steam machine was placed, which was later replaced by a petrol engine. All this has disappeared. After a standstill of 18 years, the mill was restored in 2000.
