De molen op de Berg werd voor het eerst vermeld in 1301. De huidige staak of standaard, waarop het gevaarte rust, dateert van 1728. Het gemeentebestuur Tessenderlo kocht in 1980 de molen, het molenhuis en de omgeving aan. Het beheer kwam in handen van de vzw. Molenvrienden.
