De vroegste vermeldingen van het kasteel dateren uit de elfde eeuw, toen Gozelon de Montaiqude de eigenaar was.Het originele kasteel bestaat niet meer.Het kasteel werd in 1888 in de stijl van de 13de eeuw herbouwd. Alles wat er nog over is van de originele gebouwen, zijn een paar van de buitengebouwen en de puntige deur met de wapens van de familie Hamal en Grane. Het kasteel verkeerde in een verloederde staat toen het werd aangekocht door ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness). De leden van ISKCON zijn begonnen met het renoveren van het kasteel, een werk dat nog steeds aan de gang is. Château de Petite-Somme |

The earliest indication of the castle dates from the eleventh century, when Gozelon the Montaiqude the owner was. The original castle no longer exists. The castle was rebuilt in 1888, in the style of the 13° centuries. Everything what is still of the original bldg., are a couple of the outside bldg. and the sharp door with the weapons of the family Hamal and Grane. The castle was in a degenerated state when ISKCON (international society for Krishna Consciousness) bought it . The members of ISKCON have started with renovating the castle, a work that still is going on. |
