Guigoven, gesticht in de Frankische tijd, was in de middeleeuwen een Loonse Heerlijkheid, waarvan de heren op het Rood Kasteel woonden. In de eerste helft van de 17e eeuw werd een vervallen waterburcht verbouwd tot een kasteel in Maaslandse Renaissance, en onderging op zijn beurt aanpassingen in (neo)classicistische stijl. Momenteel is er een horecazaak in het kasteel en zal er op termijn verbijfstoerisme en recreatie bijkomen. Locatie : Kasteelstraat 16 |

Guigoven, founded in the Frankish time, was in the middle ages a manor of Loon , of which the lords lived on the Red Castle . In first half of the 17th century a decayed water citadel was rebuilt to a castle in Maasland Renaissance, and underwent for its part adaptations in (neo)classicistic style.
