Built by the Cistercian of the adjoining abbey Mariëndal with broad round arch door and several iron-sandstone elements. The part along the kept mill wheel (with mechanism of 1760) was rebuilt in 1777, with white stones for corners, plinth and window frames. In 1925, the house to the back was extended with its own living-tower which sticks out above the roof of the old miller house. The water mill has been since 1961 no longer in operation.
