Dit is een kasteel in neobarokstijl en wordt, naast het ‘Kasteel van Oplombeek’ ook ‘Kasteel van Saffelberg’ genoemd. Het werd gebouwd van 1907 tot 1911. Binnenin is er ook een kapel met mooie glasramen. Tot begin dit jaar was het kasteel eigendom van barones Monique Van Oldeneel tot Oldenzeel, maar toen zij begin dit jaar overleed kwam dit gebouw in handen van de Koning Boudewijnstichting. Zij verkochten het pand op 6 november om met de opbrengst ervan sociale projecten te financieren.

This castle in neo-baroque is, beside the “Castle of Oplombeek “ also called “Castle of Saffelberg”. It was built from 1907 to 1911. Inside is also a chapel with beautiful glass windows. Up to beginning this year,the castle was property of baroness Monique Van Oldeneel to Oldenzeel, but when she died beginning this year this bldg. came in the hands of the King Boudewijn Foundation. They sold the property on 6 November to finance social projects with the proceeds of it.
