The current castle carries clearly the stamp of the owners at the time of recognition, they were Irish. The castle, set up from red bricks with cornices and window frames in white sandstone, stands in a splendid park in English style with peculiar pavilions. Some parts are Gothic, but the head bldg. is in Renaissance style. The outhouses are neoclassical. Further has the castle a remarkable library. The castle is not (anymore) accessible. Up to 1980 it had been still opened for public. On 5.3.1958, the castle and the surroundings were classified as a monument
