In 1989 werd de Watermolen van Pede, gelegen in Sint-Gertrudis-Pede (Schepdaal), aangekocht door de gemeente Dilbeek. Na een zeer grondige restauratie is de molen sinds 2002 weer maalvaardig. Om de twee weken worden er maaldemonstraties gegeven. In het bakhuis wordt regelmatig brood gebakken. Volgens sommige bronnen zou Pieter Bruegel de watermolen in beeld gebracht hebben meer dan 400 jaar geleden, o.a. op de schilderijen “De terugkeer van de kudde” en “De ekster op de galg”.

In 1989, the water mill of Pede, lain in Sint-Gertrudis-Pede (Schepdaal),was bought by the municipality Dilbeek. After a very thorough restoration the mill has been since 2002 grind capable.Two times per month demonstrations are given. In the baking house regular bread is baked. According to some sources Pieter Bruegel painted the water mill more than 400 years ago, among other things on the paintings "The return of the herd" and "The Magpie on the gallows".
