Deze stenen bovenkruier werd gebouwd in 1861-1862 voor Joseph Brusselaers, ter vervanging van zijn houten staak-of standaardmolen die hier in 1861 afbrandde. Deze stenen bergmolen is de laatste overblijver van de talrijke molens die Rijkevorsel ooit rijk was. Er werd hier zeker al graan gemalen vanaf 1440.

These bricks mill were built in 1861-1862 for Joseph Brusselaers, in substitution for its wooden stake-of standard-mill which burned down in 1861. These bricks mount mill is the last remaining of the many mills who stood at Rijkevorsel. Certainly grain was here already ground as from 1440.
