A large star or wind rose decorates the flank of these old wooden stake- or standard-mill, set up in 1901 by Eugène Bleukx-Driesen, miller, at Wijchmaal, which bought the mill in Henegouwen. Last miller Mathieu Helsen worked with the mill from 1948 up to 1970. Since 1977 the mill has been property of the municipality. As protected monument the mill, was restored in 1984 and he is still regularly put in functioning. Also the near mill house was entirely restored.
