The first mention of this mill were found in the measuring book (a cadastral register) of 1666. In the beginning it went to a double business: Across each other on every bank of the Molenbeek river and each equiped with an overshot wheel lie an oil - and a grain mill. Two watermills across each other situated on the same brook, a rarity in Flanders. The oil mill on the right bank is disappeared. Around 1909 a new oil mill was built. Thus the industrialization made her start. The water oil mill on the other hand was vacated and fell into decay. The oil mill stayed in service until the years '50. The restoration is finished now and the water mill is again spin - and mill skillful.
