The traditional castle in sands and lime stone, was built by Gilles de Bouvet, lord of the area, died in 1613. It became restored and rebuilt in the 19° centuries in 1780, after it was burned down. Successively inhabited by the families de Bouvet, de Rorive, de Foulon, de Favereau, Fernelmont-Fernimont, Orban de Xivry and Delrée. Today it is managed by the general Commission for tourism. The entrance hall have been decorated with very fancy woodwork and splendid wall carpets.
