Het huidige kasteel dateert uit 1649. In deze periode liet Filips Taye de versterkte middeleeuwse waterburcht ombouwen tot lustkasteel. Rond het kasteel ligt een pittoresk park met centraal een grote vijver, een restant van de vroegere kasteeltuin. Binnen in het kasteel is nog een gotische schoorsteen te zien, waarop het wapenschild van de familie Taye is aangebracht.
Het kasteel is gerangschikt als monument.
Sinds 1938 doet het kasteel dienst als gemeentehuis.

The current castle date from 1649. In this period ,Filips Taye let the reinforced medieval water citadel convert to a pleasance castle. Around the castle lies a picturesque park with centrally a large pond, a remainder of the former castle garden . Within in the castle there is a Gothic chimney, on which the weapon shield of the family Taye has been attached. The castle has been classified as a monument. Since 1938 the castle has done service as municipality house.
